According to his father, Leon McQuay III has named a top 3 of Vanderbilt, Michigan and USC.
This is McQuay's second cut after previously narrowing things down to a top ten. He's not very big on interviews so I may not be able to catch up with him today for his thoughts but I hope to catch him by tomorrow with more.
He would like to make his decision on Nov. 21.
McQuay is the No. 5 rated safety in the country and the No. 38 rated prospect overall.

Awesome! Thanks for the info!
I don't like USC in the mix. I think Kiffin is a top 3 recruiter in America.
I'm still pretty confident that he'll commit to us. We need to have at least six wins by late November and be bowl eligible to be sure IMO.

Vanderbilt - "Oderunt dum Metuant"
Look in the post above yours (I made an edit after you posted). The date of the decision makes USC less of a threat in my opinion.
Wolverine Fan here, I haven't been following McQuay's recruitment that much pretty much since he visited a few weeks ago. Is he a pretty heavy Vandy lean or whats the story? Thanks.
Vanderbilt has been heavily in the mix for a while. Despite the weight that is attached to Michigan and USC, Vanderbilt has got a great shot here. USC could be logjammed at safety by the time Nov. 21 rolls around and Vandy has been a more consistent presence with McQuay than Michigan.
Ok, just saw the edited post. Good to hear!
If he does not go to Michigan I hope he goes to Vandy. I have a lot of respect for Vandy.
So Barton, if you were handicapping....where do Vandy's odds lie?
I'd put Vanderbilt as the favorite. Michigan a close second and USC at third based on my expectation that USC will already have a few safeties committed by the time McQuay wants to commit.
